The Apollo Bridge connects the city parts Petrzalka, Mlynske Nivy and Ruzinov. Its most characteristic element is the curve, which is 36 meters high. The construction was installed at the left bank of the Danube river and was turned around by cranes and ships. Another reason, why the Apollo Bridge is so unique, is the fact that none of the individual construction parts create a right angle.

Maligne Lake, the term maligne is French for "wicked" and was used by Father Jean de Smet (1801-1873), a Belgian Jesuit missionary, to describe the treacherous river that flows from the lake. Spirit Island at the Samsons Narrows is one of the most magnificent scenes in the Canadian Rockies.
