This beautiful scene postcard of Heidelbergh was posted on March 16, 2014 by my best friend Erhard Molbitz with matching stamps and cancelled with special postmarks.

The boat lift Magdeburg - Rothensee connects the Mitteland Canal with the river Elbe. It was constructed in 1939 with a lifting height of 18,4 meter and pool size of 85 meter x 12 meter. This 1988 East German maximum card was sent by my best correspondent friend Erhard Molbitz from Postdam, using great German wildlife stamps.

The "Ziegelgraben" bascule bridge connects Stralsund and the island Danholm, constructed in 1936, length of 133 meters and still operating.
