The Apollo Bridge connects the city parts Petrzalka, Mlynske Nivy and Ruzinov. Its most characteristic element is the curve, which is 36 meters high. The construction was installed at the left bank of the Danube river and was turned around by cranes and ships. Another reason, why the Apollo Bridge is so unique, is the fact that none of the individual construction parts create a right angle.

The "Ziegelgraben" bascule bridge connects Stralsund and the island Danholm, constructed in 1936, length of 133 meters and still operating.

This 1988 East German maximum postcard with special postmark, was sent by my best correspondent friend Erhard Molbitz from Postdam, Germany.
